                               About  Lisa

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (MA, LPCC) with a BS in Kinesiology from UCLA, an MS in Professional Clinical Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and an MS in Health Science with an emphasis in Health Promotion. I bring over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness industries, including my time as a Health Education instructor at Moorpark College.

Before founding Inneractive Health, I worked at New Beginnings, a facility offering a wide range of outpatient mental and integrative health services with a strong emphasis on somatic approaches to healing. I also worked at La Ventana, where I facilitated PHP/IOP‑level mental health, eating disorder, and chemical dependency groups using evidence‑based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic approaches, and Experiential therapies.

During my time at New Beginnings, I was trained in the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), a trauma‑processing approach that works directly with neurophysiology to support secure attachment and deep resourcing. As the Director of DBT, I trained and developed associates and curriculum through a somatic lens, ultimately creating a somatic‑based DBT program and groups. I also have extensive experience treating co‑occurring disorders.

I have completed Safe Zone training, a program focused on supporting and understanding the LGBTQ+ community, and I feel deeply committed to inclusion, affirmation, and psychoeducation.

My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, honoring all dimensions of health — mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and social. I see every person who enters therapy as unique and courageous, deserving of care that is tailored to their specific needs in a supportive and compassionate environment. I recognize the complexities of mental health disorders, chemical dependency, and eating disorders, and this understanding informs my unconditional, empathetic approach. I draw from both my professional and personal experience to support individuals facing health challenges and to inspire hope, healing, and lasting change.

“You are the sky. Everything else — it’s just the weather. No feeling is final.”
— Pema Chödrön

I offer a safe and supportive therapeutic space to share and explore your feelings, relationships, and experiences. I work with couples and individuals through an attachment-based, holistic approach that includes somatic body and mindfulness work to nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

I specialize in working with individuals who are overcoming difficult or traumatic childhoods, struggling with painful or addictive relationship patterns, and couples navigating sexual issues, infidelity and betrayal. The collaborative work we do together will be guided at your pace, on your terms.

I truly believe that connection breeds resilience and my goal is to help my clients build a sense of community, connection, purpose and joy in the world. I look forward to connecting with you on your healing journey.
